By accessing any areas of the Candle Creations and other related websites, you agree to be legally bound and to abide by the terms set forth below. If you don’t agree to abide by these terms & conditions, you should immediately leave this website. We reserve the right to modify, alter or update these terms & conditions without prior notice.
AMENDMENTS FOR TRADING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Candle Creations will follow all steps as directed by the Government and make every effort to play our part in protecting our staff, customers, and the wider community from the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Accuracy of information: Due to the ever changing nature of the crisis some information on our website such as opening hours, dispatch times, availability, and service levels may at times differ to the service we are able to offer on any given day. The most up to date information can be found on our COVID-19 PAGE.
Order dispatch times will vary dependent on the current situation and in times of restricted business the times will be displayed prominently on our website.
Our usual refund policy applies, with the exception that we will not offer refunds due to late delivery or cancellation of orders where delivery or dispatch time is the reason; this applies prior and post dispatch. Please read our COVID-19 update page carefully so that you understand the current pick times and delivery estimates.
RETURNS & BREAKAGES POLICY
Please contact us to discuss the matter within 7 days.
Please note that we do not accept returns on fragrances, butters, oils, colorants, or wax once opened. If in doubt, buy a small sample size to start with.
Your items must be returned along with a copy of your original invoice/receipt. Returns must be made within 1 month of purchase.
Please choose carefully as we are unable to exchange/swap items on the spot, be sure to place a separate order in advance if you need the correct items urgently.
1. If an item is obviously faulty, or we sent you the wrong item, we will replace it at no cost to you. A digital photo must be sent to Candle Creations.
2. If you chose the wrong item, made a mistake, or simply don’t like your item we may (on a case by case basis) offer a store coupon to the value purchased, less a 20% restocking fee and shipping, providing that the goods are returned to us in original condition (you will need to pay the cost of return). The coupon code will be emailed to you on the following week of your goods being returned.
In the case of breakages we may at our discretion send a replacement item/s with your next order. A digital photo of the breakages must be sent to Candle Creations within 2 days of receipt of goods.
ORDERING, ACCEPTANCE and PRICING
The items offered are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. We reserve the right to refuse to accept an order request in whole or in part, even after payment is made, up until the time of dispatch from our warehouse/s. If an order is refused you will be refunded via your method of payment. We are not required to give any reason for the refusal of an order however common reasons include; we have insufficient stocks to meet a random bulk order, we suspect a customer of hoarding supplies, we believe that supplies are being resold under a different brand/name without our permission, an admin’ or system error prevents us from meeting previously agreed orders.
Once accepted (and the order is paid) we will process your order and an e-mail confirmation of dispatch will be forwarded to you.
The prices quoted are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and are fully inclusive of government taxes (GST). We do not offer export (zero rated) pricing. Prices are for internet orders only and are subject to change at any time without notification.
Unless an item is open for pre-orders on our website we do not offer rainchecks on out of stock items.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
Order cancellations must be put in writing. To cancel an order, please send an email detailing the transaction to firstname.lastname@example.org . If the order has not been shipped we will immediately cancel it with no penalty. If the order has been shipped, unfortunately you will incur the cost of returning the goods.
Candle Creations accepts Visa & Mastercard credit cards through our online shopping cart. Credit Card Payments are processed via Windcave (formerly Payment Express) which is a highly secure provider; we do not see or store your credit card details anywhere in our system.
Alternatively you can choose internet banking, our account details will be emailed to you once you confirm your order and the goods will be shipped once full payment has been received.
We also accept Paypal
We reserve the right to charge you a processing or administration fee of between 1% and 5% for certain payment methods. This fee is to cover any additional costs incurred by us in offering you the payment method. Where applicable the fee incurred is shown as a transaction fee at the checkout.
Once you have placed the order and clicked the submit button you are under contract to purchase the order. If the direct deposit method of payment is chosen we will hold your order for 5 days before cancelling it if payment is not received. If successive orders are placed and remain unpaid Candle Creations reserves the right to refuse any future orders from the user.
FREIGHT FREE POLICY
Candle Creations may from time to time offer free delivery on orders above a certain value. The value of the freight free threshold is subject to change and is usually made clear at the check out.
How to claim the free freight offer; When checking out, assuming your order meets the minimum value for free delivery, you will notice an option for “Free Delivery” will appear in the delivery options. It is your responsibility to choose this option should you wish to redeem it. Please note that we do not offer shipping refunds should you fail to redeem your free shipping, this is because the administration cost of processing your refund would be greater than the value of the refund.
Exemptions to Freight Free Policy. Some big, bulky, orders and items will be exempt from any free delivery offer. This is usually items like pallet loads of wax or jars, very bulky orders, deliveries to hard to reach places, heavily discounted items, or items that attract very high discounts due to higher volume. Usually, you will find notes warning about free delivery exemptions within the product listings. Exemptions are entirely at the discretion of Candle Creations and we will notify you prior to dispatching your order should there be any additional freight to pay so that you can decide whether to proceed.
Candle Creations offers deliveries to most major areas of New Zealand by courier. A delivery is interpreted as an attempted delivery by our chosen courier company. We do not accept liability or delay in the event there is no-one to receive the delivery at the delivery address. You may or may not be asked for a signature on delivery. Deliveries will not be left on your premises if no-one is home unless you expressly request it when you check out. If you are comfortable for the goods to be left if no-one is home, please state this on your order in the comments section and advise a safe & secure place for the order to be placed. If a secure place cannot be found for the goods they will be taken back to the depot. If redelivery is attempted you maybe charged a second delivery fee. We cannot accept any responsibility for theft or loss once goods are delivered. Please contact us directly if you’d like to make alternative delivery arrangements. For security reasons we can not deliver to Post Office boxes , however if you live in a small country town and items are usually delivered to the post office or central pickup point, please provide the physical address, not the PO box.
All items purchased from Candle Creations are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. Please allow 5 business days for shipment. If the delivery details given by you are incorrect, and thus affecting delivery we may have to charge an additional delivery charge.
NON-LIABILITY FOR USAGE OF PRODUCTS
Candle Creations sells all products under the recognition that once they are used for the purpose of purchase we are no longer held responsible. It is the responsibility of the purchaser once they take possession of all goods to ensure their products are suitable for safe and proper use.
In the case of products being manufactured for resale using ingredients purchased from Candle Creations we shall not be liable for any damages, returns or claims resulting from the sale of finished products. Should any dispute arise over the performance of supplies and/or ingredients once made into finished product, independent testing will be conducted to determine the cause and the customer shall be liable for the cost of such testing should the fault be proven to be due to poor craftsmanship or any other contributing factor outside of Candle Creations control.
All copyrights, trademarks, pictures and other intellectual property rights in the design, layout, wording and concepts of this web-site are reserved to Candle Creations. Any copying of the design, layout, wording, pictures, concepts or other unauthorised use will infringe our rights. Trade marks, copyrights, brand names, product and company names related to the products appearing on this website are the property of their respective owners. Candle Creations does not claim to own any of these trade marks, copyrights, brand or product names what-so-ever nor does it claim that Candle Creations is related to, endorsed by, or in any other way connected or associated with the respective owners and/or their related companies and agents.
