It is a very rewarding and satisfying experience creating a soy candle either for yourself or as a gift for a friend. 

Making a perfect candle is a combination of several factors including dye, fragrance, containers and wick. All of these components can react in different ways with each other causing undesirable side affects in your candle or upon burning. 

After following our simple instructions for making either a Soy Container Candle or a Soy Clam Shell Melt, you may have to tweak the ingredients or the environment in which you're making the candle and re-test to find the correct combination.

It's a good idea to diarise as you go, writing down temperatures, wick size, % of fragrance and/or colour used. Even if you have to make a few candles in order to "crack it", you'll enjoy burning the "mistakes" anyway!
